Many things have to be done right to launch a new vessel. A
successful launch requires
detailed planning, many tests, a dedicated team, last minute inspiration, and willingness
to let it go.
Case
|
Management replacement - Operations. |
Challenge
|
A Toronto-based international IP telephony start-up in pre-commercial
phase needed interim management to oversee the deployment and the operations of its
network until a permanent executive could be hired. |
CBMI Approach
|
CBMI provided interim management for the network department.
Working with the management team, CBMI revised the organization structure of the network
department, introduced cost control, tightly managed suppliers, devised operational
procedures to speed up service turn-up, implemented information systems, and introduced
new technologies into the network. |
Outcome
|
Having built the network organization to 75 engineers and
technicians, the client launched its IP telephony service in 16 countries. When transition
to on-going management took place, CBMI had built the largest international IP telephony
network of its time. |
